Louisville’s Take: Named BIG EAST Special Teams Player of the Week on Nov. 7 and Nov. 21 ... joined the team after training camp ... ranks fifth on the team with 43 tackles despite only playing nine games ... leads the team with two blocked kicks ... made six tackles including a tackle for loss in win at USF ... returned the opening kickoff 100 yards for a touchdown at Connecticut ... added five stops against the Huskies ... made seven stops in win at West Virginia and blocked a field goal which was returned by Andrew Johnson for a touchdown ... had six in loss to Marshall ... set career-high with 11 stops at Kentucky ... made Louisville debut against FIU.

Thoughts: Mr. Bushell comes into this season with some well deserved hype. Last year was a big year for Adrian, even with his limited time of actually seeing the field. Adrian was named preseason All-Big East and his name has been thrown around in some preseason award watch lists including the Paul Hornung Award. The only negative on the kid over the last couple years has been his attitude. Coming to the Ville from Florida, Adrian has the pure athleticism to really be a special player, but seems to be resting on his laurels from time to time. Not giving 100%, albeit on the field, in the classroom or just a general overall way of thinking is unacceptable to Coach Strong. I have no doubt Charlie will pull the reins in and Bushell and Johnson, along with help from others will be one of the best secondary’s in the country this year. I was very excited to see Mike’s day one recap include some love for Adrian and his skills at this point in the year. Here’s hoping for a few more of these this season…

Potential Nicknames: Need some help. The only thing I got is last season when he got a pick I called out an "ABP". Instead of "All points bulletin" it was an "Adrain Bushell pick". I know...not that great.
