#23 Brandon Radcliff
Class: Freshman Ht/Wt: 5-9/220 Position: Running Back Hometown: Miami, Fla
Louisville’s Take: Three-start prospect by Rivals.com and Scout.com... ranked 31st by ESPN and 106th by Scout.com... named third-team All-State by The Miami Herald... played for Chris Merritt at Columbus High School in Miami... team won the regional and district championships in 2011... very physical, bruising running back... compact runner who thrives between the tackles...
Thoughts: Radcliff has been a guy we’ve heard quite a bit about over the past few weeks just on CC alone. We first had the Kenny Carter interview where he raved about Brandon’s physicality. He even went so far as to call him a "Beast". Mike’s review from Day 1 of practice seemed to agree with Coach Carters observations saying he was a "monster" who displayed quickness on the field and appeared to be ready to play at the D-I level when called upon. While we may have depth at the running back position, no one is head and shoulders above the rest. I’ve expressed my feelings about Senorise and I’m a big Dominique Brown fan as well, but we’ve got 4-5 guys who could easily break off a 100+yd game this year depending upon who gets the call. Radcliff and Corvin Lamb (spoiler alert: he’s tomorrow on the countdown) look like two solid backs who can be 3-4 year contributors in the running game. For those of you who may have forgot, Mr. Radcliff made quite the impression just before National signing day after posting the following…
Pretty badass. Of course, not to be outdone, a UK recruit performed the same stunt a few weeks later. No, not Norleans Noel…Billy Jim Cooter
Class of 2017….linebacker….5-3/215…..Go Cayuts!
Potential Nicknames: "Cliff Notes" (Smaller package, but provides the benefit of the full version), "Beast"
