#34 George Durant
Class: RS Junior Ht/Wt: 6-0/235 Position: Linebacker Hometown: St. Petersburg, Fla
Louisville’s Take: (No Notes Provided)
Thoughts: George has been around the program for awhile, coming in as a walk-on back in 2009. He got some looks at the Defensive End position early last year but appears to be settling back in at linebacker this year. George appeared in 10 games last season but never got a start sitting behind Preston Brown at the "SAM" position (linebacker). With all signs pointing to Preston replacing Dexter in the middle of the field George could grab that available spot. Look for some competition from newcomer Keith Brown along with Mount and Dixon.Obviously I'd like the most talented player to see the field, or if nothing else, the guy who is going to help the team the most, but I'm rooting for George. I think Dexter brought some leadership to the defense last season being a Senior who had worked his way through the program. George could potentially provide that this year along with Hakeem, Daniel and Preston Brown and Adrian Bushell.
