Despite what appeared to be some significant vote tampering to get John Calipari over the hump in his third straight championship round appearance, ESPN's Doug Gottlieb has been named Card Chronicle's 2011-12 least cool person in the world by the slimmest of margins. The final tally was 840-838, making it not only the tightest title match of all-time, but the slimmest margin of victory for any tournament tilt.

The plaque (we really need to make one) of champions now looks like this:
