#63 Josh Stearns
Class: RS Freshman Ht/Wt: 6-1/285 Position: Offensive Line Hometown: Louisville, KY (Product of DuPont Manual)
Louisville’s Take: (No Notes Provided) You’re killing me Charlie…
Thoughts: First and foremost, a quick note pertaining to the fact that of the last four players covered, three have been from Metro Louisville. Three of a total 18 on the roster. Way to grab the talent from our own backyard Coach! (I’m looking at you J. Quick)
In reality it’s not likely Josh will see a lot of action this year. We’ve got a lot of guys on the O-line and he’s going to have trouble finding a spot to fill on a consistent basis. I think getting some time on special teams this year and obviously building up his skill set could be a big advantage for him over the next four years. He can add weight, but being listed at 6"-1’ in your program (maybe he’s sniffing 6"-0' with some of those thick diabetic socks) is a little worrisome. Gorgui, go get the body stretching machine!
When asked how he was killing time over the summer Josh told me he likes to watch the movie trailer for ‘DIENGERUSS’ over and over while jamming "Today Was a Good Day", the Card Chronicle anthem (http://www.cardchronicle.com/2012/2/22/2817013/card-chronicle-anthem-today-was-a-good-day)
(WARNING: Blatant, shameless plug….I’m honestly embarrassed right now…..….ok, I’m over it.)
Potential Nicknames: "J-Stearns"
****Nobody panic!! Today will be the last player update for over a week. (In my mind I now envision anarchy throughout the city. Cars flipped, fires burning, women screaming…just let me dream) I’m not taking a break or anything; there just aren’t any players on the roster for the next 7 days. Go enjoy your 4th and comeback ready to read player summaries like you’ve never read player summaries before…or something like that.****
