#89 Scott Radcliff
Class: Senior Ht/Wt: 5-10/183 Position: Wide Receiver Hometown: Louisville, KY (Product of Trinity)
Louisville’s Take: Sure-handed wide receiver who has worked hard to become a solid wide out... has earned a scholarship after three years as a walk-on... has made a number of big catches and plays on special teams.
Thoughts: "Scotty Scholarship" has been a nice role player on the offensive side of the ball for the last three years. Finally earning a scholarship was a nice nod of the cap to Radcliff who had his most productive season so far last year. Eight catches may not be mind-blowing, but when you account for 83 yards, aka a 10.3 yards per catch average, and two touchdowns, you’re not just a sub. Just ask poor Lloyd Carrington from Pitt. Lloyd…come at me, bro
Oh, and did I mention the guy pulled in nine catches in the spring game a few months ago? He did. Teddy…your thoughts?
''Ever since I got here Scott Radcliff has shown he's a trustworthy guy,'' Bridgewater said. ''He makes all the spectacular catches, the catches in traffic. He just never takes a day off.''
Scott split work on punts last year with Eli, and I assume he’ll resume those duties this year as well. The Wes Welker comparisons may be a tad over the top, but the kid can play. Eli, DeVante and M. Harris get the press, but you NEED guys like Radcliff in order to be a championship program.
