#90 B.J. Dubose
Class: Sophomore Ht/Wt: 6-5/273 Position: Defensive End Hometown: Oakland Park, Fla
Louisville’s Take: Versatile lineman who worked way into defensive line rotation as season progressed ... made first start at Cincinnati... showed potential as a pass rusher and a run stopper... continues to get better on the interior line.
Thoughts: If you remember the back story on Dubose, he was a talented prospect last year who was committed to Miami, and on Signing Day inked with the Cards. He proved his potential last season appearing in all 13 games. B.J. had over 20 tackles and two sacks against Cincinnati in his first starting role. Wrapping up the year B.J grabbed a "Big East All-Freshman Team" honor, in addition of course to his Big East Championship. I wouldn’t be shocked to see him line up over the ball on the first defensive play against the Cats in September. I’m a big fan of this kid and I think this time next year he is a leader on the defense. This is the type of talent Strong continues to bring in, a solid athlete who could play for what others would consider a "national powerhouse", but chose the Cards. Train is a comin' folks.
FYI: B.J. love da kids (From Strong’s Survivors Camp)
Potential Nicknames: "Dubose in da hood" "B.J. aka Bone Jarring"
