#70 John Miller
Class: Sophomore Ht/Wt: 6-2/304 Position: Offensive Line Hometown: Miami, Fla
Louisville’s Take: Started 10 games at left guard.... missed three games with an ankle injury... was one of only five true freshmen in the nation to start on the offensive line.
Thoughts: When I heard last season we had signed John Miller I was pretty stoked. I mean, no offense to my man Paul Rogers, but that’s a decent upgrade on the play-by-play broadcast. Why exactly he wanted to make the switch from baseball to football was lost on me but hey, "the train is coming" right? Once I realized it was not "that" John Miller I was still pretty pumped, and my excitement was justified. Miller was an animal last year. The freshman started 10 games, including the last 7 of the season. He was a mainstay on a line that did receive some criticism, but as a true freshman I was impressed with his skills and development. I expect to see him keep his starting job and mature even more as a solid lineman as the season progresses. I’m not one to make a lot of predictions, but I wouldn’t be shocked to see a potential All-American lineman in a year or two.
