#74 Ryan Mack
Class: RSFreshman Ht/Wt: 6-5/308 Position: Offensive Line Hometown: Memphis, Tenn
Louisville’s Take: Played for Lynord Crutchfield at Wooddale High School... has the ability to dominate opponents both in run blocking and pass protection... has good size and athleticism for the offensive tackle position... has been compared to Baltimore Ravens offensive lineman Michael Oher, another former Memphis high school standout...
Thoughts: Six-Five and three bills. Ryan is a big man. Excuse me, Mr. Mack is a big man….sorry Mr. Mack, it’ll never happen again.
Rated as a Top 10 prospect out of Tennessee back in 2010, Mr. Mack has some talent, and hopefully we’ll get to see it on display this year. I will also give Mack a shout out for being named to the 2012 Big East All-Academic Team last year along with 22 other players from Louisville. The man ain’t no dummy. Mack replaced Kupper in the Spring Game after he left with an injury and wouldn’t you know it…Mack takes a helmet to the knee. I spoke with my insider sources (who are not so insider and are barely considered sources…step up your game sources) who said Mack never left the sidelines and it was nothing more than a bruised knee. I’d love to see Mack get some experience this year and depending upon Kupper and Mario’s health the opportunity could be there. I wouldn’t be shocked to see him start getting some reps in the UK game and potentially playing multiple series towards seasons end.
I know your itching to play, but promise not to hurt anybody to bad this year Mack…
Dude, I can see you crossing your fingers….you’re not even trying to hide it.
(*Big thanks to Mack for bringing back memories of "Mac and Me", possibly the worst alien movie ever made. Yeah, I said it. A dance scene in McDonalds? Come on, you’re better than that!)
Potential Nicknames: "Mack Truck", "Mack Daddy", "Big-Mac" (They’re to easy…)
