Take it for what you will, but I've been picking up on some talk about Kentucky football players possibly planning to stomp the bird logo before the game on 9/2.

Feeling froggy, Wildcats?

Since I need to meet 75 words, inquiry minds want to know why our friends down I-64 have been stirring the proverbial rivalry pot as of late. Call me stupid, but if I were in their shoes I would probably keep things as low key as possible in the weeks leading up to the showdown and not give a much more talented group of players any extra motivation to bring to the dance. The mindgames may have possibly had an effect on our young, inexperienced kids last year before they had to travel to Commonwealth and get their first taste of a rivalry. But, trying to get in the heads of a group you'll be visiting who have cut their teeth beating the Wildcats in Lexington, upsetting West Virginia in Morgantown, and competing well against NC State in the Belk Bowl -- yea, I just don't get it. Hyping yourselves is one thing, but drawing the ire of your opponent is something else. I guess I just don't understand the strategy.

Either way, 9/2 won't come soon enough.
