Montrezl Harrell Finding Success In Brazil

The USA U18 team has played two games so far in FIBA Americas preliminary play in Brazil. The USA beat the Virgin Islands on Saturday 105-42 and Mexico on Sunday 110-59.

UofL's new recruit, Motrezl Harrell, played just 15 minutes the first game, finishing with 7 points and 8 rebounds. In the second game versus Mexico, he had 12 points and 7 rebounds after shooting a perfect 6 for 6 from the field. The USA will play again on Monday against Brazil at 5 pm.

I don't know if you can tell a whole lot from the box scores of these first two games that were complete blow outs. One thing that does stand out is that Montrezl has rebounded well in both games despite only playing 15 and 18 minutes. This is a good sign for UofL since they need a power forward that can come into the games and help Gorgui rebound.
