Chandler Bridges, a 6-foot-5, 280-pound offensive lineman from Flowery Branch High School in Georgia, verbally committed to Louisville this morning. Bridges received his offer from Louisville at this year's Spring Game in April and committed to the staff this morning at the start of U of L's mini camp for top high school football prospects. He also held offers from Southern Miss and Western Carolina.
According to Jody Demling, Bridges missed the majority of his junior season at Flowery Branch with a knee injury. Located 50 miles northeast of Atlanta, Flowery Branch started its football program just 10 years ago, made it to the Georgia AAA state championship finals in 2008, and recently stepped up to AAAA classification in 2010.
Bridges--rated a 2-star lineman by Scout.com--marks the 10th verbal commitment for Charlie Strong's 2013 class and third offensive lineman, joining 3-star OT Skylar Lacy (6-6, 290) and 2-star OT Shamar Johnson (6-6, 295).
