#93 Roy Philon
Class: RS Junior Ht/Wt: 6-3/290 Position: Defensive Tackle Hometown: Lexington, KY
Louisville’s Take: Athletic defensive tackle who showed signs of being a dominant run stopper ... must continue to develop and be a force in the middle for the Cardinals... is one of the veterans on the defensive line... good athlete who continues to develop as a premier defensive tackle.
Thoughts: Roy had a solid year for the Cards last year. He was great at limiting the run up the middle finishing the season with 36 tackles. Look for him to keep a starting role and become a leader on the defensive side of the ball. I’d be surprised if Roy didn’t grab fifty tackles and 4-5 sacks this year. If I remember correctly I believe he had a couple sacks last year playing about 70 miles down the road in his hometown (cue dream sequence music)…
