He's not headed to the Bucket (yet), but I think we can still finally chalk this whole thing up as a success.

I received official word Sunday night that Mr. Danrad "Chicken" Knowles had been added to the roster for the 2012 Kentucky Derby Festival Classic. He will play on the Black Team, aka not Louisville signee Terry Rozier's team, which is a slight bummer, but oh well.

The festivities for this year's game will begin on Thursday night with the "Night of the Future Stars" at New Albany H.S. The game itself will take place Friday at 7 p.m. inside Freedom Hall.

In a cruel twist of fate, I will actually be in Chicken's birthplace of the Bahamas for both events (best man for a bachelor party). It will undoubtedly end up being one of the biggest regrets of my life.
