The rumors were flying yesterday afternoon that Louisville swingman Luke Hancock had suffered a shoulder injury and would soon need surgery. The folks at UofL didn’t deny that Hancock had suffered some type of injury, but it doesn’t appear to be as serious as we initially thought. It sounds like this minor injury will not require surgery.

This reportedly occurred during a pick-up game at IU-Southeast earlier this week. I could be wrong, but I believe Hancock had a minor shoulder injury during the season as well. He was allowed to practice with the team during the season, but wasn’t eligible to play in games, due to the NCAA transfer rules.

At this point, it sounds like Hancock will be fine and ready to go once practice begins. If anything changes I’ll be sure to keep you in the loop.
