What a remarkable season! Seriously. After our loss to the Cats, my heart dropped a little bit, though. I wanted us to crush those Cats into oblivion. However, you can't them all.
After the loss, my roommate (UK fan), told me to "take off those colors". Wow. I believe this speaks to the majority of how us Card fans have to deal with living in Louisville.
I don't give two craps if UK beat us, or not. Crap, even if Depaul beat us in the Final Four I would feel any different. Our team came from the dumps to the top, and fought hard against number one team. A believe and hope that hasn't happen here in awhile, especial in post-season. THESE UNDERDOGS FOUGHT AND FOUGHT HARD.
Take off my colors? FUCK NO! This is my city, school, and team. I'm sick of being run over by UK fans all throughout this city. WE LOST A FINAL FOUR GAME. Not some exhibition, and dominated our way out of the West. It's the same thing that happened to UK last season: won their Conference, lost the Final Four game.
STAND UP RED! I stand behind my Cards throughout every situation: loss or win. It's what we do. Don't feel alone, our program is back and here to stay.
I will not take down my flags, hat, or clothes. This is Louisville, NOT LEXINGTON. Our basketball team is back on the rise, and I will be there every step of the way. BE PROUD. This team, city, and school has more heart than all of Wildcats combined. We're an urban school, and it's hard to make a huge impact on this state. But, we should have a huge impact on this city.
I will not allow some goddamn UK fan base run over anything red. This is LOUISVILLE take it and keep it safe! If you hear some UK fan, tell them to shove it or ignore those bastards.
Fly our colors. Take this city. It must remain ours.
