No trash talk on my facebook page, no snarky comments on twitter. Even a few "good game Cards" type sentiments floating around on the interweb. It just didn't feel right, so I headed over to KSR, ready to defend my alma mater to the bitter end. Or until I get sleepy, it is after midnight. I mean, those guys couldn't possibly give props to us for a win in the Sweet Sixteen, right?
Um, wrong. From the ksr blog...
– First thing’s first, let’s give credit where credit is due: Louisville. You’ve gotta give it to them, they looked great in their 57-44 win over Michigan State. The first half wasn’t pretty, but the Cards took control in the second half and ran circles around the Spartans. Siva was stellar, Gorgui Dieng owned the middle, and even Chane Behanan had a good game if that tells you something. It wasn’t quite the Celtics vs. the Lakers, but Louisville is playing its best basketball of the year at the best possible time. Rick Pitino coached like the pre-Porcini’s Pitino, and now boasts a 10-0 record in Sweet Sixteen games. The Final Four matchup between the Cats and the Cards looms on the horizon like a huge thundercloud of stress. Part of me is excited, part of me is horrified. My face is literally fluctuating between those two drama masks right now. Someone pass the tums.
Is this real life? I mean, they even spelled Gorgui correctly. It's just. so. weird.
