Justice over Henderson?
Pointless post of the day....just food for thought....and maybe its the lesser of 2 evils.....
I am surprised that we dont see or hear more discussion about whether we should see more of Tim Henderson and less of Elijah Justice. Justice might be able to distribute the ball but he hasnt shown the ability to shoot at all and his assist to TO makes it hard to be comfortable with him even as a spot backup for Siva. Maybe statistics are misleading but they seem to favor Henderson.
Justice has played more minutes than Henderson (97 to 57), both shoot under 40% from the field (39% to 36%), they average the same pts per game (1.3), and have the same total rebounds (9 each).
Henderson shoots better from 3 pt (3/7 vs 1/10) and has an even 1:1 assist to TO with 8 each (Justice has 8 assists and 11 TOs).
Justice has a lot of steals per minutes played with 8 total in 97 minutes but he has also committed 15 fouls which is extremely high.
I just dont see what the difference is. I am sure that most will just say, "CRP sees practice and just trust that". I get that but CRP does seem to play a lot of favorites too.
I dont see every game because I live in the Philippines but from what I have seen, Henderson even passes the eye test. That doesnt mean he should see significant minutes but I dont see that his play justifies seeing so much less floor time than Justice.

Dude, Justice is a much better player than Henderson
And we’re talking about maybe 6 minutes a game so it’s not like there’s any timeto split between them. No, Justice is not a dynamic playmaker, but neither is Henderson, and Justice is quicker and a MUCH more solid ball handler. He rarely turns it over when on the court. Meanwhile, Henderson panicks when a defender even looks at him. He came in for the final minute or two against Rutgers and had like 3 turnovers and gave up a couple wide open shots
in short, I disagree, but it’s JMO

Is that you Hendo? Come on!
Seriously though, Justice is way more confident with the ball. Hendo likes to pass as quick as possible so as to not screw things up it seems. Timmy also isn’t quick enough on D and therefore gets called for a ton of bump/check fouls since he can’t keep up. He’s not bad, but Justice is more solid.

Bullet is a much better ball handler.
And when Siva is on the bench, that’s what we need. We don’t have too many guys who handle the ball. Bullet has more turnovers because he’s trying to make plays. Henderson has primarily just been a spot-up shooter.
I bleed red and black. I poop blue.
I was going to comment,
But everything I was going to say has already been said.

My prediction
In the coming weeks, the minutes played gap may not narrow, but we’ll see each of them less.
They both have grit, but not Russticles.
Yet…
