That just happened... UofL beats down UConn

Wow! I don't know what else to say. This team has finally started to play like the team I thought they could be all year, but we haven't seen. They put it down on UConn. I'm in awe. What was most shockng:

1. Siva hitting so many jumpers.

2. Dieng playing so well in the post.

3. Nunez getting to play and hitting two threes.

4. The final score.

5. Kuric finally throwing it down like last year, bunnnnieeesss, yam!

?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

UConn definitely stopped playing hard at the end of the game

But it was because of our soul-crushing run. There is only so many times you can get dunked on before you say ‘screw it, lets get this damn thing over with.’

The final score was a joke.

We were up 70-40 and they were in real danger of getting doubled up. They were completely helpless against our defense, and so overwhelmed they couldn’t find it in themselves to play defense against us. If Pitino hadn’t called off the dogs at the under-4 timeout, there’s no telling how bad the final margin would have been.

Agree. To me the only downside was the two fouls Bullet committed on the three point shooter.

I must admit I had a brief nightmare that he might do something like that in the tournament and cost us the game. It’s just the kind of thing that opposing coaches take note of and file away for just the right situation. And don’t forget he did it when we were up 30 or so. In a closer game one would think the pressure would be there to guard even closer.

I love the kid but I sure hope he learns his lesson and that we don’t see that again.

Hammer?

We were a jackhammer and they were a carpet tack. We were a fire hose and they were a matchstick. We were an elephant gun and they were a squirrel. We were a destroyer and they were a rubber raft. We were a monster truck and they were a tricycle. We were an F-15 and they were a hot air balloon.

Siva looked great but we need him to finish sometimes

If he doesnt opposing teams will not colaspe they stay put on our jump shooters. If he doesnt shoot look for floater lobs to the big men for ally oops.
