I'll never forget it. It was the fall of 1990. The 'Ville Cardinals traveled to WKU in Bowling Green to take on the Hilltoppers. That was the first time I'd ever watch my beloved Cards live & in person. Everick Sulliven, Cornelius Holden, LaBradford Smith...Coach Crum. I was there & they won! Amazingly it would be 13 more years until I'd be able to attend another game. It was the 2003 CUSA Tournament Semi- Finals against Memphis at Freedom Hall. Taquan Dean nails a 3 to pull us ahead 79- 78, Luke Whitehead pulls down the last rebound on a Memphis shot & we win. Last year I witnessed the Gardner- Webb game in the student section & watched the most amazing comeback against Marquette on my birthday, Janurary 15th, 2011! In all I'm 10- 0 with the Cards! This year my wife & daugters got to go with me & see our beloved team against Ohio. I then got to sit in a luxary box for the Memphis game! This year I'm 2- 0. But that undefeated record all time & this year will be tested Monday night. Come Monday night my dad (he's undefeated with UL too!) & I will settle into our seats in Section 324 as the defending National Champion UConn Huskies come to town. We need this game and we need to win it badly! Not only do we need to win, we need to play well. Our team has great potential. We're a legit contender for New Orleans. We just need to win, win convincingly, and play well doing it. I look forward to it! God Cards!
