Cards Survive Scary Dieng Injury, Rutgers 3s

The takeaways from this game are the two big guys: Dieng's scary writing and Chane's monster afternoon. Still let the other team make too many threes and hang around longer than we should have, and Kyle didn't play great.

Can't wait to watch video of Chris Smith's left handed "dunk" a couple times a day for the next 5 years.

Everyone send good thoughts to Gorgui's ankle. Gonna need it Monday night and keeping this season on track requires a healthy, productive Gorgui Dieng.

Chane's game was unreal today

Was really cool seeing them all smiling and having a good time too. Air Louie busted out some crazy dance moves during a commercial break too, definitely a dark horse for game MVP.

Every time I see Air Louie

all I want is a straight pin.

Ware was horrendous

Lost his guy on almost every defensive possession, turned it over with the weakest press we’ve seen all year, missed lay-ups and telegraphed passes or made pass decisions way too soon

by uoflcard on Feb 4, 2012 8:14 PM EST via mobile up reply actions

He'll get better in the offseason

He’s got good quickness and a lot of talent

by cardchomp on Feb 4, 2012 8:16 PM EST up reply actions

I agree, but for now I'd rather have Bullet in there

Justice is less likely to make a play but he’s much less likely to turn it over. And since Ware isn’t even making plays, I don’t see how we can live with the mistakes like we did with Russ earlier in the year. I’m looking forward to Ware’s future but right now, damn Siva, quit getting into foul trouble

by uoflcard on Feb 4, 2012 8:20 PM EST up reply actions

Absolutely agree

I waa screaming for him during the game. I’ll worry about which one should be in next year. This year it’s Bullet even if Ware is a better athlete.

2 BIG FAT FOULS.

3 rebs, 2 assits a steal and 10 pts. GET OFF

by GOCARDSATTITUDE on Feb 4, 2012 9:40 PM EST up reply actions

Are you saying Ware had these stats?

We are talking Justice verses Ware, not Siva. Me thinks you are too centered on Peyton.

by cbcard on Feb 4, 2012 11:37 PM EST up reply actions

Yeah, I was talking about Ware/Bullet when Siva needs a spell or is in foul trouble

The comment about Siva getting into foul trouble? yeah, it’s warranted. He’s in it almost every game. Sure, he only had two fouls, but they were in the 1st half in only 5 minutes of play. In his defense, though, I thought his 2nd one was pretty cheap

by uoflcard on Feb 4, 2012 11:53 PM EST up reply actions

What I said is

that at this point Justice is a better backup to Siva than Ware. I also believe what you quoted as stats are those of Siva but it seems as if you are saying they are those of Ware. So I have no clue why you are telling me to “GET OFF.” I never said a single word about Siva.

And additionally I think you may have my comment confused with that of uoflcard.

In my family we call Kevin "Bambi"

and once he learns to walk and dribble he’ll be fine.

If the shooting can just improve

we all of a sudden have a lot of weapons on the floor. A couple weeks ago I wondered if we had ONE weapon on the floor. If Kuric gets out of this slump and CS5 gets more consistent from three…look out.

Jeff Goodman is trying to put his foot in his mouth, but Gorgui keeps blocking it.

Kuric found the range late

Let’s hope it continues into the UConn game.

Rutgers AHC David Cox on Chane:

“Two things that killed us were Peyton Siva’s penetration and obviously, Blake Griffin (Chane Behanan), who had 100 rebounds today."

"Chane gave an outstanding effort. I’ve been in the BIG EAST now as a coach for six years and I’ve been a BIG EAST fan for 25-30 years. I don’t remember seeing a rebounding performance like that. He got every major rebound, he was 6-of-6 in the first half and he was just a man among boys."

Dieng Doubtful for UConn Game???

wtf? Shi^!

E. Crawford of the C-J tweeted Pitino saying Dieng could be doubtful for the UConn game. Hopefully they ice the shi^ out of that ankle all night and it doesn’t swell too bad. We really need GD for UConn. We really need him for every game. Hope it’s nothing serious. Though with our injury luck…aarrghh

Okay, end rant. Holding a good thought…

It's been a while

since the Cards have had a big man that was a legitimate threat.

I cannot believe that Gorgui and Chane are where they are in their game. It’s incredible. To think about them suiting up for the Cards for the next 3-4 years just blows my mind.

Just imagine a game when Kyle AND Chris are dropping them, Peyton/Russ are just average and Gorgui and Chane are doing what Gorgui and Chane do.

I am excite.
