Football Scheduling

WVU leaving will throw a kink into the 2012 schedule. UofL was supposed to have 4 home/3 away BE games. Assuming Boise (or one of the C-USA schools) cannot join immediately and simply fill WVU's slot on the schedule for all of the other BE teams, we are going to have a problem.

UofL was already due to have 3 of their five non-conference games be played at PJCS, so it won't be the end of the world if the game UofL has to pick up needs to be away (as long as UofL gets a return game next year--or more than likely 2014).

I would prefer a team from a BCS conference (or maybe even C-USA), but beggars can't be choosers...and UofL is freaking desperate at this point. So I think we are more than likely looking at a home/home with a Sun Belt or MAC school.

As far as i know these are the upcoming non-conference games on the horizon:

2012--9/1 UK, 9/8 Missouri St, 9/22 @ FIU, 9/29 @ S Miss, (unknown date) North Carolina

2013--8/31 Ohio, 9/21 FIU, (unknown date) @ UK, (unknown date) Murray St

2014--9/20 @ FIU, 9/27 @ Marshall, (unknown date) UK

2015--(unknown date) @ UK

*UofL was supposed to start a 4-game series with Memphis in 2013, but Memphis will be in the BE so that would become a conference game.

**Has there been an announcement about the number of conference games that teams will play when Boise and the C-USA teams join (8 or 9 conf games)?

Anyone know of any other non-conference games in the coming years? Can we petition for UofL to put a "future schedules" tab on their webpage?
