Siva needs to look before he leaps! From now on if you got the ball with 30 seconds left, think score.
Too many times Siva drives the ball a 100mph and trying create a miracle. Every body stays home cause he doesnt look to score. Its imperitive Siva , learn to shoot a pull up jumper. Late in the game bad decisions make or break you. No body is perfect and Siva played a pretty good game. But Siva is our piont guard and should step up ahnd become a true leader. Take this as constructive critcism Siva. Leader dont bloop out and miss three free throws in a row in a big game. They dont foul three times in a row and put their team in a bind and sit the bench and lose there leadership thats needed to win a close game. Late in the game they dont drive the ball and throw it to nobody. That happens sometimes but with Siva, too many times. Siva man Change stop repeating the same mistake over and over and Recognize your weakness. Siva your great basketball ball player and Im your biggest fan. So im asking you to listen to my cry man, be a leader and from now on when its late and you got the ball in your hand. Learn something from Russ and think score! score! score! Not a last minute over caculated 100mph pass that didnt work because you Didnt Look before you Leaped.

Im not putting all the blame on Siva
There was several plays and stats that contibuted to the lose to Syracuse. The thing that troubles me the most is the lack of confidence that Siva and Dieng had in scoring and shooting and scoring late in the game. They lacked the killer instinct and hesitated and made bad decisions instead of just looking to score. Are free throw shooting was another sign of lack of confidence and poise. The Qualities of a good team that separate them from an average team are those key things. Player must have confidence and the ability to be a clutch players and showing poise by shooting free throws like your life is on the line every time you square up to the basket. Siva at one time this season was a 90% free throw shooter. Then to miss three in a row in a big game. There is something wrong there and its apperant any many other aspects of his game. We need a team with confidence so lets biuld on this and beat them at there house this time with a killer instinct and big time ball. Lets Go Cards!! Our basketball lives depend on it.

Uh...Free Throws???
Hit’em; we win…Simple.
Leave Siva out of this.
This loss belongs solely to johnnyjoejohnson for dropping a “we own syracuse” fan post right before the game.
I had the same thought
Russ played a lot like Siva usually does. He drove the ball in and then looked to pass. To me, this suggests pitino had something to do with it. He must have told them that penetrating and passing was the way to beat the cuse zone.

It is. Either a guard drives and dishes, or we pass into the center of the zone and pass back out.
Asking Peyton to shoot is stupid. He hasn’t shot well this season, even if he has gotten better lately. He’s a basketball player, if he hasn’t been practicing his stroke, he should be kicked off the team. Which what I am saying is I’m sure he’s been practicing, it just hasn’t translated.
And really, I don’t think he did anything wrong on that final play. Maybe a bit to fast driving, but Gorgui could have caught that pass.

On a serious note
I don’t know what the hell Siva was doing at the end, but if we hadn’t had a 10 minute streak of 0% field goal shooting, that could have made the difference in the game.
