What's your favorite 5?
Now that Wayne Blackshear is back and playing, Louisville has a lot of different lineups that Pitino can toy with and use. I can't wait to see all the different combinations CRP will employ in game situations. I'm wondering what 5 players you would like to see on the floor at the same time... Here is my favorite combination (not saying the best):
PG: Kevin Ware SG Wayne Blackshear SF: Kyle Kuric PF: Chane Behanan C: Gorgui Dieng

Might want to emphasis not the best.
Kevin should be doing what he did Saturday; riding the bench. Sub Ware for Russ though and I like the rest.
Yeah, not the best unless the best is what you are looking forward to seeing. I think we've seen the best. I also think it would be fun to see:
Small Ball: Russ, Siva, Kyle, Blackshear, Behanan
Siva, Russ, Kyle, Chane, Gorgui.
I’m very close to sliding Wayne in for Kyle, but he doesn’t understand the offense quite well enough yet. By march, I’m going with Wayne though, I think.
I can honestly barely decide. I’m comfortable with almost anyone.
ALL HAIL

Agree with just about everything.
Although I would write it Siva, Russ/Chris, Kyle/Wayne, Chane, Gorqui. I know the OP said five, but I’m feeling a little greedy at the moment.

I'd love to see Siva, Chris/Russ, Wayne, Kyle, and Dieng, just to see what they could do offensively
With Kyle rebounding at the 4 like he did last year and you’d be able to shoot the 3 from 4 court positions like Rick’s system prefers.
We're 20- 5 with our Line- Up
Mostly being Siva, CS5, Kyle, Chane, & the Gorgster. Sub FW & Russellville for the 1-2- & 3 players, Ware, Price, Nunez for the 4, & Swop for the 5.
I just as glad as everyone that FW is back
but I think Coach Pitino played it perfect for the West Virgina game. Most everyone is forgetting about CS5. Without him who knows where this team would be. He is the most consistent shooter on the team and he does a little of everything. My fav 5 would be who ever Coach P has out there at the moment.
Siva, Wayne, Kuric, Behanan, Dieng
Subbing Trade & Mark for the guards, Nunez for a forward, Wayne for either, Zach & Swop for Gorgs.
Small ball lineup: Siva, Russ, CS5, FWB, and either Gorgui or Chane.

That has to be some kind of weird Freudian slip
Sometimes if I’m listening to something/someone while I’m typing, I end up typing a word that I hear, and not even realize timesheets

Surely you're old enough to remember Trade and Mark!

SIva, CS543, Kuric, Chase Bohannan, Gorgs
with Russ, FW, Chris, and Kuric on the court…. let the Kroger 3’s rain
Gorgs and Chase….LG&E Dunks
100% Siva…lightening fast.
Loving that we can have this be a debate that is predicated upon
how much siva sucks and whether we should pull some bum off the street to walk the ball up the court.
It used to be the above, and whether russ > CSmith. We’re deep again.

Should have been having this debate all year.
I thought this would be the most talented and deep team we have had in many years. Obviously, the injuries changed all that.

whoops. I forgot the "not" before predicated, but you got the point.
Could it have just been injuries? Something weird happened after that Gtown game, IMO. The confidence just wasn’t there. The UK loss was expected, but the loss to ND killed us. Turns out to be an ok loss to take, but it looked awful at the time.

Siva, Kuric,Russ, Behanan, Dieng
Shayne Cecil
Depends on the situation, imo
For points- Russ, Kuric, Dieng, Siva and Swophanen.
I believe we will play at least 10 deep to keep apace with Davidson, we’ll need a lot of bodies in there to stay fresh.
I’m also crazy enough to imagine a D using Dieng, Siva, Kuric, Russ, and Zach with Zach roaming with Davidson’s center when he goes out to the three point line, (which he does often). Zach likes to roam that way, and is mobile enough, his length would give us a big against their center when he wants to shoot the triple. Dieng is still back there to protect and the three guards harass the ball handlers. I am so crazy, I know.
