Vote for UL Student Section
So apparently there is a Student Section of the Year award going on at I Love College Hoops' Facebook page. The top 16 student sections who get the most votes move on to the round of 8.
The top 16 student sections so far are: Kansas, Purdue, Gonzaga, San Diego State, Utah State, Indiana, Duke, Syracuse, West By God Virginia, Kentucky, Illinois, Cal, Pittsburgh, Colorado, Drexel and Arizona.
We are on the bubble of making it, along with Michigan, Texas A&M, New Mexico, Virginia and Arizona State.
Voting ends at 11:59 PM TONIGHT (Sunday) so spread the word to as many people as possible! It would be great if we could get a mention in the top 16. :)
GO CARDS!
BEAT SYRACUSE.

Love my Cards, seriously, but we might as well lay off this one
I don’t think anyone even knows where our student section is.

Yes
They hold up giant card board heads and are easily the loudest section in the YUM.
Also, BATMAN.

No way.
As much as I have blind faith and love for the Cardinals… our student section is, for the most part, lacking. Compared to most other big name schools, our student section is a joke.
When we have Saturday afternoon games and they can’t even fill their designated area… it’s absurd. I would be at every possible game I could if I could get those tickets for that cheap.
Not sure what is happening here. At Duke recently, they had 400 unused student tickets (out of only 1000), and they are FREE.
In fact, there were 2 games in a row that had unused student tickets, which has been previously unheard of. Weird.

I actually heard that Duke was having a problem getting students to come to games recently. I don’t understand how that happens. I mean, to have access to watch some of the best basketball around… and to not take advantage of the great tickets available to you for those four years of college… I don’t get it.
I’m not trying to bash our student section. If you don’t want to come, I guess don’t come, who am I to judge? However, I just can’t bring myself to actually believe that we’re one of the top 16 student sections in the land.
