UofL's first signee of the day--Nick Dawson

LBer wanted to be the first Posted on February 1, 2012 by Jody Demling <!-- .entry-meta -->

Charlotte, N.C., linebacker Nick Dawson said on Monday that he wanted to be one of the first members of the Class of 2012 for Louisville.

And he said just after 7 o’clock that he had signed his paperwork and faxed it in.

A U.S. Army-All-American, Dawson was born in Louisville and still has family in town. He’s considered one of the highest-ranked players in the class.

ESPN.com calls him a “solid wrap tackler.”

“His size and playing strength should be positives as a pass rusher. Dawson has the size and intensity to be productive at the BCS level of play.”

I'm gonna be doing my happy dance all day long as i watch the reports pop up on Jody Demling's recruiting page.

Anyone else hear the train whistle?
