I would like to apologize to the comuunity at large for the posts I made following the Kentucky game Saturday night. I have already posted an apology on that thread Sunday morning, but I did behave in such a stupid manner that I feel the need to post another one here so as many people as possible can see it. I would also like to offer an explanation. Please believe me when I say I had no intentions of stirring up such outrage among many of you. What I am guilty of is using extremely poor judgement. Being intoxicated is never an excuse for anything we do, but it is often a lot of the reason for what we do. In this case it was the reason I used poor judgement. In my intoxicated mind I thought I was merely being a sarcastic tongue-in-cheek smartass. With the benefit of sober reflection on my posts I can clearly see that they came across not as sarcstic or funny, but mean spirited. The timing and delivery were horrible to say the least. Many of you know that I have embraced this character of being the grumpy somewhat cantankerous contrarian on here. I was attemting to play with that role and in my inebriated state it really backfired. I was, as several commented, idiotic and stupid. The irony is, that while I was rattled by the fact that UK almost came back on us, I got into the state I did by celebrating the win a bit too much with my friends. Please know that I do LOVE THE CARDS VERY MUCH, and that whatever displeasure I have had with RP in the past, I fully acknowledge he has his head on straight and is doing a great job now. Most observers seem to be in agreement that he is somewhat a changed man. I conncur with that observation, and applaud him in making a great recovery from what could have spiraled into a disaster for him and for the program. He has the program exactly where it should be, contending as a perrenial top 5-10 force. I hope those of you that were genuinely upset by my posts understand that my apology is is genuine and sincere. I am wrting this from my hotel room in New Orleans. So I guess I have nothing left to say at this time other than... GO CARDS!!!!! BEAT FLORIDA!!!!!!
