Report from the AP:
According to sources familiar with the situation Charlie Strong, Head Coach of the Louisville Cardinals and longtime defensive coordinator for Florida hosted a group job interview in Geneva Switzerland on Sunday.
In a town made famous for its treaties and international meetings, Charlie is reported to have selected it for this meeting due for neutrality and secrecy. Much like Swedish banking, the Swiss are notoriously tightlipped about visitors.
It is believed he chose to interview in this fashion to save time and travel. Reported in attendance were representatives from the University of Tennessee, University of Auburn, the GM of the Philadelphia Eagles, Alex Spanos the owner of San Diego Chargers, and the GM of the Italian football team AC Milan.
The tenor of the meeting is said to have been Charlie sitting behind a large desk while each group sat in folding chairs next to each other trying to impress the coach. The meeting is said to have lasted less than hour.
At the end of the meeting sealed bids for Strong’s services were requested by Wednesday with winner to be announced on Friday.
