Rivalry fatigue?

Really?

Younger fans eating their Cheetos at GAME parties may not have that fire in their belly that burns every time we play pUKe, but I can assure you fans over 50 still burn every time UK comes around.

And there's a damn good reason, in case you have forgotten. Even after Peck Hickman had established us as a viable program...Even after Peck and our guys whupped Big Blue at the Final Four in 1958.... they still refused to play us.

And not just refuse to play...oh,no..constant ridicule and condescension that bordered heavily on racism.

For 24 years we had to put up with that daily from friends, relatives, etc. In our own city we had to endure this, particularly heavily back when UK did indeed control most of fans in this town.

We had to literally get the governor and the legislature to finally force them to play us!

But first...we had to beat them good. Real good .....on the big stage....
