Now I'm wondering if Wisconsin's win and appearance in the Rose Bowl with five losses will take any of the inevitable head off the Cards, because we all know what we're going to be reading about the Big East in the next four weeks.

Regardless of all that, this is a fantastic opportunity to prove we belong and, even more important, to set ourselves up for a higher pre-season ranking next year, as it's clear how your ranked before the season every starts plays a huge role in how you're ranked at the end of the season.
