I live in Ottawa, Canada--but I've been a lifelong Cards fan, with family roots in the Ville. The UofL teams are the only sports teams I've ever followed obsessively, and I still manage to catch most of the games illegally up here in Canada.
Anyway, to the point: I got one of the Card masks to use when I'm back in the Ville, but I figured I might as well use it for halloween up here in Ottawa. So I went out and bought a couple big hairy red bathmats from Walmart and sewed them together into a card-suit.
Needless to say, I had a hell of a good time representing Card Nation up north of the border, although I had to repeatedly emphasize that I was not supposed to be an "angry bird". I also won the costume contest out of the 250 people at the club we went to. I sweat like hell---probably lost about 20 pounds in water mass that night. But it was worth it.
