U of L will make its second appearance on ABC this season when the Cards host South Florida at 3:30 on Oct. 20.

The kickoff Gods continue to smile fondly upon Louisville football, as the Big East announced Monday that Louisville's Oct. 20 home game against South Florida will begin at 3:30 p.m. and will be televised by ABC.

The USF tilt will mark Louisville's first home game in five weeks, so it's nice to see Cardinal fans getting a kickoff time conducive to their tailgating needs. So far this season, every Louisville home game has kicked off at 3:30, a far cry from the parade of noon games seen in recent years.

Additionally, U of L gets a second shot to show out on national television. Since they last appeared on ABC against North Carolina, the Cards have played on local television (Missouri State), ESPN3.com (FIU), CBS Sports Network (Southern Miss), and are facing Pitt on ESPNU this Saturday. ABC is better than all of those.

Good news all the way around.

I'd sell my slipper socks for a tailgate right now...and I f--ing love my slipper socks.
