I have not written since college so please forgive this. Mike is our guy. I love this team they may not be good, but they are resilient. I tried to re-watch but could not watch the entire game, so I watched the 1st and 4th quarters. What I saw was a very avereage team but a team that meant to win. The last team I saw at Louisville like that was like that was the 1990 Fiesta Bowl team. In fact I wrote Rick Bozich that, after he dogged UofL, (yes I was a student then) about how our team learned to win, and he ignored that fact! Weird thing it got published. I finally watched this game again on DirecTV 613, and fourtunately without the 8 beer and 5 shots of Bourbon haze, I realized these kids are pretty damn good.

In years past we celebrated both great wins, and mourned close losses, let Southern Miss celebrate theirs (loss that is) because our defense and their run game was both tough and resielient.. This team (UofL), had to scrap their game plan, run on a carpet made of water ,and lose all of their best assets (Teddy's passing and play action game). They relied on a sometimes fumble prone back and a unproven back, and an offensive line made of children. With that said. I still think there is room...... more then room,..... room for vast amount of improvement.

The greatest thing is what the defense did in the 4th QTR, they were tough! If you don’t believe it watch it again ( DeAngelo Brown is a Star in the making. This is not ESPN where we disappear. You can watch again and again on CBS.

This is the point where we talk about our future. Say what you will about this teams mistakes, I will talk about their future much like about in 1990 they won a game they should have blown the other team out,. But after a jack leg statement by Bozich, I responded, so did the Team. (they learned how to win! Not only did they do that, but they went on to spank the best rated defense in the nation putting up major points in the First Quarter. Anyone remember the Fiesta bowl. Who was the reciever that ran into the goal post? I do remember the announcer sayin that the only thing that could stop them cause Alabama "the #1 defence in the country can't! The huge difference is this team is sophomore laden, that was a team of seniors.

Do not think I m giving them an excuse. I am not! They need to pick this up and win, not just win but win out. No excuses! No surrender! Destroy! Destroy! Destroy! Finish in top 10 or 12 and finish the Collision Course!
