Preston Knowles Signs NBDL Contract
It appears the rumors of Preston Knowles being unhappy in the Ukraine were true, as the former Cardinal guard has signed a contract with the Springfield Armor of the NBA Developmental League.
Take it away, C-J:

Wait...what?
I'm pretty sure that's not what they meant. If it is, then scientists finally breaking through and being successful in their attempts to genetically fuse our favorite Louisville basketball players is probably the bigger story.
"Russ Kuric" would certainly solve a lot of problems right now. I also can't imagine the type of beast Scootney McCray would have been in the '80s.
Anyway, best of luck to Preston, who joins a Springfield team that does include Jerry Smith. The Armor are the NBDL affiliate of the New Jersey Nets.

Too bad we're not Kentucky. We could pay him to play for us now.

Congratulations to Preston!
I’m sure he’s glad to be “home.” I guess I’ll have to purchase even MORE TV channels. What a kick – Preston! and Jerry together again.
I'm holding out for Beau Zach Price.

Wes Spencer or Felton Unseld?
I’ve always liked to imagine the utter domination of Unseld as a true seven footer. Home grown too.
He may have been only 6' 6 1/2" tall
but he was 7" wide and thick
LaBradford Wheat
Boom.

I personally think Tacquisco Deancia
would have been the best player ever…only he had to have Cisco’s interview voice
Darrell Bridgeman
would have owned Tacquisco Dean. :)
The great thing about this enterprise; so many great choices!
According to the D-League Gamecast
Preston has 6 points and 2 rebounds in 6 minutes of play in the first half of his first game for Springfield. The Armor are down 3 to the Los Angeles D-fenders (clever) at the half.

Russ Kuric would single-handedly lead us to the national title this year.
Would make Carmelo’s run look silly.
also, they're playing against Otis George on LA

My man O-tis!
OK, gotta watch Animal House tonight. Screw the football game.
Damn. I was hoping it was Springfield, IL . . .
or at least Millhouse and Homer’s Springfield. I was imagining Krusty the Clown somehow incorporating a ! into his halftime show.
Rodney Purvis would be unstopp--oh, right
