I am not usually one to chime in with my thoughts and opinions on how games should be played. I am not going to direct all my angers at one specific player, coach, or what have you. I am a life long Cardinal fan and will be to the end....win or lose, I love my Cards. I live and breath Louisville! Obviously things right now are disappointing and upsetting. Am I thinking that we need a coaching change? Hell no! Do I think we have talent? Hell yes. Do I think the team is working hard? Yes I do. I do believe though that just putting in the work is what cuts it. Working hard has to coincide with sheer heart and intensity, toughness. Perhaps some videos of Taquan Dean and Francisco Garcia could show what true heart, teamwork, dedication and just an absolute love of Louisville basketball is. Maybe you want to throw in some Jerry Smith, T-Will and Preston! shots in there too. I miss the stories of how Taquan and Cisco were in the gym hours before the rest of the team. Seeing Taquan Dean play as a lone senior, battling injury, and kissing the mid-court Card head in Freedom Hall on Senior Day is one of my favorite Cardinal memories. I miss seeing Preston! knocking down shots, knowing that he knows it is going in no matter what. I miss T-Will being T-Will, playing every minute with a smile on his face. DeJuan Wheat putting up no points in the first half of a game against Arkansas, then coming out and lighting the place up with 32 second half points. Maybe I am way off base here, but I just think we are playing with no confidence or intensity, which is something all of those players did. Now I know none of those guys are walking back on the floor, but someone from this team can be one of those players....they just have to choose to be, and we need to believe.
