Louisville Football Gets It Done In The Classroom
A stone-faced salute in your direction(s), Bo Eggers and Grant Donovan.
While the University of Louisville football won a BIG EAST title and advanced to the postseason for the second straight season, the Cardinals continue to excel in the classroom as well.
Grades were posted for the 2011 UofL Fall Semester and 34 Cardinals players on its roster achieved a 3.0 or better grade point average. The team posted a combined 2.63 GPA for the semester and Bo Eggers and Grant Donovanachieved a 4.0 GPA for the semester.
"I'm happy the way we continue to strive and do a great job in the classroom," said UofL Head Football Coach Charlie Strong. "With all the obligations we put on the them during the season, it's a good statement for the student-athletes in this program and how important academics are to their future."
The Cardinals continue to progress in the classroom under Strong, as the Cardinals have achieved a 2.5 or better team GPA in every semester since the coaching stafff arrived on campus.

yup my bad.
1/2. Wrong Grant Donovan. Apologies. Well shout out to the old rivalry then?
Glad to hear that Stong is keeping commitments on and off the field.
Makes me even more proud of our team.
Anybody else get the feeling that Coach Strong is almost too good to be true?

He's true
I like to think it’s a big “I told you so” to any AD that never hired the man for their program.
That's really great because UofL student athletes
Actually go to class and take real courseloads whearas some unnamed schools still are playing the tutor role where the tutoring includes doing all the class work. Can u say UNC, FSU.
my nephew was saying the same thing
when they were showing the bball players major..real classes
If you ever attended UofL
You know that’s how they do it. Well at least that’s what I saw when I attended. I had a friend at an Sec school down south he said a DT showed up twice to class and pulled down a B.
