Louisville Remains At No. 25 In Coaches' Poll
The Cards hung on in the coaches' poll at No. 25 for the second consecutive week. In the AP Poll, which of course does not exist, Louisville moved up two spots to the equally nonexistent position of 27th.

Are we really not as good as Harvard?
I’m having a hard time with that.
Nerds.
I think many voters were taken by the novetly including Harvard
It’s hard to know if they’ve really a top-25 team. They may indeed be, but I too think it’s unlikely.
It makes those losses a little easier to swallow when 3 out of the 5 are in the top 25.

We're currently 28th in the RPI.
Vanderbilt and Memphis are 26th and 27th, respectively. Beating Seton Hall was a big win. At least, for the moment.
Stout Out!
So do we want Vandy to lose?
It hurts our SOS and possibly RPI if they drop, but we need them to make room for us in the AP poll. I know the polls are less important than RPI, but they have a value in overall perception of the program, recruiting, fan negativity, etc.
WIN!
We want all of the teams we already beat to win. Especially LBSU, Ohio and Memphis

I like it this way
I don’t want the boys getting full of themselves again. Everyone agrees that #4 was too high and I think we all agree we are a top 25 or even a top 15 team in the end.
Unless we run away with the BE Tournament and win it. Top 10 if that happens and a 3 or 4 seed in the tourney with some great momentum.
This is debatable. I'd argue lack of confidence as opposed to over-confidence has been the issue.
you have a point, though.

I'd say that over-confidence became a lack of confidence in a very short period of time.
After the two losses against highly ranked Georgetown and UK teams, we looked solid against St. John’s. I think the above happened after the home loss to Notre Dame; then a humbled confidence appeared following the coincidences of the Notre Dame win vs. Syracuse, the return of the King, and the start of our current 3-game win streak with a road win over Pitt.

I'd rather the team spend the rest of the year feeling they have something to prove. 25 in only one poll is ok with me.

Take away the Providence loss
and we’re ten spots up. Even if it was still a loss, but by less than 10 points, we’d probably be up 2 or 3. I feel good where we’re at considering where we’ve been and where we seem to be going.
