James Burgess Jr. Commits To Louisville

He didn't get to make the announcement during the game like he'd planned, but Miami linebacker James Burgess Jr. confirmed after the Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl Tuesday night that he has committed to Louisville. Burgess had previously been a soft verbal to Miami.

A four-star recruit, Burgess had a host of elite scholarship offers, including the Hurricanes, LSU, Florida, North Carolina, Cincinnati, Illinois, Minnesota, Ole Miss, Pitt, Rutgers, Wake Forest, West Virginia and others.

Burgess only played in two full game during his senior season because of a broken hand, but he is expected to be fully recovered by spring practice. He drew rave reviews during practice this week for the All-American Bowl.
