We're On a Roll Baby!

It may have been one of the ugliest wins of the year and we almost gave it away, but we walked out of New Jersey for the first time in the Big East with a Win! A season high in turnovers; terrible free throw shooting, and a lack- luster performance in many respects is all erased by this huge- I MEAN HUGE Big East road win. We're now 5- 4 in the Big East. We have now won 3 in a row! We still have many things to correct and need to play much better than what we did tonight. But the simple fact we come back home with a road win is very encouraging. As my family & I watched the game out here in the middle of the corn fields we grew increasingly nervous and down- right ill at some of our silly mistakes and free throw misses. But hey, we won! We've won 3 in a row! We're on a roll baby!

Good win, no doubt

But, keeping in perspective, had Seton Hall actually been able to make shots, we would’ve been run out of there toward the end. Not a good showing by us at all down the stretch.

We’ve won three in a row against teams we should’ve beaten. Yes, we’ve been underdogs during the last two road games. But, those lines were based off how the team had been playing while in the slump. Us fans know what this team is capable of doing, thus the last three wins were definite should/need-wins.

If we beat UConn at Yum, WV in Morgantown, and defend our house against ‘Cuse I’ll join you in the celebration. But, for now, this team is doing exactly what it should be as far as W’s. Still need a lot of work to correct the mistakes and sloppy play before the schedule gets rough again. That means we better work a lot of kinks out against Rutgers.

What you say is true

but at this point, considering where this team has been, actually doing what they should be doing IS being on a roll. Being happy that the ship is at the very least turning in the right direction is not the same as forgetting that we are hardly safe in the harbor.

Brilliant

If Seton Hall would have made more shots, we would have lost. Dude- you just blew my goddamn mind. Since when?!?

What would have happened if Seton hall had been able to make shots, but we didn’t turn it over so much? How’s that for a riddle? Should we play more or less sloppy if we want to keep winning?

I know this is a dick comment. But, come on man.

was thinking the same thing...

We haven’t turned the ball over that many times since 09. Still got the W!

I know we didn’t affect EVERY shot, but our defense played a part in their bad night…

GO CARDS!

Just a thought

If Seton Hall would have scored more points they would have won the game. With that being said, UofL is lukewarm, merely just heating up.

I agree that this 3 game win streak isn't necessarily a tremedous

accomplishment. However, 5- 4 in the BE sounds much better than 2- 4. As far as the NCAA Tournament goes, right now we’re moving on up in the rankings & tourney seed. I’ve written some negative posts when we’ve lost but I’ll gladly put a shout out to a “W” over anyone (especially on the road). Go Cards!
