Free for all at Rutgers?
So, with the "wood chopper" splitting town are the 2012 commits a free for all? I'll be interested to see who stays, who goes and who reopens their recruiting. I know we had interest in a at least one kid, a four star OL if I remember right. Anybody else worth going after...?
Take a look at the list. None of the names ring a bell but I'm no recruiting guru. Any one remember recruiting these kids?

OK I just emailed Kenny Klein
“Given the L&N yard, the train whistle, and Vance Beford’s “Get on the train….” I think Johnny Cash’s Fulsom Prison Blues should be played over the PA. Especially if we wear black unis.
What do you think? "
DUH!!!!
So would you prefer The City of New Orleans? All I can say is I hear the train acomin’ and that’s whats important.
Yeah! Pretty catchy tune don't ya think?
Maybe “Train Train” by Blackfoot?
But that one is about getting out of town.
Hmmmm….have to think about it.
And then ’I’m stuck in Folsom Prison…" is what you hear next.
Huh?
Naw…doesn’t get my vote.
This is the song!

Those were some really good prison bitches.

But we could dedicate the season to making the visiting teams our prison bitches.
Haha. cb, you're one weird dude. I like that!

Rod Council?? No thank you. NO prison songs for the football team
“Former University of Louisville football player Rod Council was sentenced today to eight years imprisonment by a U.S. District Court judge in Asheville, NC, for armed robbery, according to a report in the Asheville Citizen-Times”.
Check out this Crime Scene Photo
Embarrassing, but still funny.

We only have 1 scholarship left and it will most likely be taken by Sean Draper.
I don’t see HCCS revoking a scholarship offer to offer one of these guys.
-Dustin
We have two left. 23 commits, 25 to give.
And we surely will lose a couple of guys who are waivering, or will not qualify.
Strong would be a fool to not talk to some of the Rutgers recruits that he was after before they committed to Rutgers.
He’s not a fool.
I thought we lost some due to our Krag-ademics?
Or were they all already taken into account this previous season?
you only get 25 a year, no matter who you lose.

He's referring to the APR penalty that resulted in U of L losing three scholarships.

I thought because we only took 21 last year we would have the full amount this year?
Remember the Beef Bowl!
We do.
We can take a full 25 this year, assuming of course we freed up 25 scholarships from transfers, graduates and such.

Interim HC
Did you see RU hired their O-line coach as the interim HC. Do you think it is a coincidence that 3 of their top 5 recruits are O-linemen? It tells me the RU AD is playing damage control…which is his only real option at this point and he is doing it in a smart way (so far). I just find it strange that RU will have an “interim HC” for probably about 2 weeks of the off season where no games or practices even take place.
Many games will be played
They are called “recruiting.”
Anyone hear of Darius Ashley's status with the team?
I hope he got some help with his alcohol issues and can get back on board with his education and contributing something positive to the team
I have not heard but have been wondering this also.

doubtful
He’ not on the spring roster (at least not right now) and i believe 2012 would be his 5th and final year of eligiblity (he redshirted his first year) so eventhough he didn’t play last season, he would have lost that year of eligibility. Correct me if i’m wrong.
