Josh Harvey-Clemons Has High Praise For Charlie Strong
Hard at work on the recruiting trail, Charlie Strong tweeted out yesterday that he was headed from "Palm Beach to Orlando to Gainesville to Valdosta to Savannah."
Valdosta just so happens to be the home of five-star athlete Josh Harvey-Clemons, who many believe is down to Florida and Georgia, but who will take an official visit to Louisville on Jan. 27.
Harvey-Clemons tweeted out the following on Wednesday:
"Coach Strong came to see me today. Realist coach I've met."
Even if the Cards are a long shot to land ESPN's No. 17 overall player in the class of 2012, it's nice to see Strong making such a sizable impression on one of the nation's top talents.
If JHC were to commit, I can't imagine what would happen to the basketball team on that day.

Are you saying instead of x's and o's she would be more of a "hands on" coach.?

She'd be better at making plans to inbound the ball
I’m surprised no one’s mentioned our plays would take 15 seconds or less to execute.

sending JHC good vibes....
i’ve got a great feeling about this kid, i think charlie will sprinkle the magic recruiting dust on him and get him to commit to the new linebacker u
This is great news
I am so tired of all the negative news regarding the BBALL team that the only thing that keeps me from jumping off the 2nd street bridge is the FOOTBALL team, and they are not even on the field playing yet. Coach Strong has taken over the face of all Louisville Athletics.
We are gonna need Mr. Miyagi
Maybe a little Joe Espisito jamming in the background. “Your the best around and nothing is ever gonna keep ya down.”
I would imagine...
that the whole coaching staff would be going without pants for a few days should we get this commitment.
If JHC Commits
The KFC YUM! Center and the regular YUM! Center will simultaneously implode, every player on the team would suffer a season ending injury while playing Call of Duty 3… other than Tim Henderson, leaving Tim Henderson to take on USF by himself where we lose on the road by 150.
If JHC commits to us
I gurantee ESPN changes their ranking on him from 5* to 4*, and busts him down about 50 spots. Now if he commited to Alabama he’d be the #1 overall player.

Cause thats what they do.
If they dont commit to the teams they talk about all the time, then they seem to lower them. Its like right now I’m sitting here watching recruiting nation and they have not made one mention of the army all american recruits, its all about the under-armour camp. I dont put to much faith in ESPN’s recruiting service anyway, statistically they are the most wishy washy anyway. For example, Mark Ingram was rated as a 3* by ESPN.

Although it would be hard to drop him that much
After all he is the #1 linebacker. I was exaggerating mostly, just tired of ESPN’s bullshit. They do do that shut though, Teddy was rated much higher by RIVALS.

They dropped bridgewater
To a 4 * after he committed to us. It’s a joke.
by Jason G on Jan 19, 2012 6:26 PM EST via mobile up reply actions
Actually ESPN has been the kindest to us.
It was Scout that dropped Teddy from 5 to 4 star last year when he commited to us.
If I am not mistaken ESPN and Rivals always had him ranked as a 4 star.
Last year ESPN had our class ranked the highest of any recruiting service rankings, in the top 25, and again this year has our class ranked the highest of them at 25 currently.
They also named Clint Hurtt their Recrutier Of The Year last year as well.
All together ESPN has been gving us by far the most love of the recruitng rankings services.
Oh I forgot
ESPN also has SIX of this years players we have committed as 4 star, while Scout and Rivals each have only three of them ranked 4 star.
I wish I could find the link
I seen it last year. It covered like the last 7 years or so of recruits “where are they now” kind of thing. ESPN had the worst percentages of guys who actually made it on NFL rosters.
I’m burnt out on the network, and there over-whelming agenda. They IMO, are ruining college football and there is no doubt in my mind, they are the main driving force behind all of this conference realignment. They have there palm print on EVERYTHING. #monopoly

I agree with everything you say
I was just pointing out that it seems apparent that ESPN is not discriminating against us in the recruiting rankings.
Lets also not forget that U of L football became what is is today in large part because we were ESPN’s darlings for several years.
But I think they are ruining things overall too.
Harvey-Clemons has a writers ring to it.
He for sure means realist – its very existential of him.

I for one would not mind finding out.
I'm going to say
They just get on the train too.
Bengals fan since day one.
Cardinals fan since I realized I had a choice.
The train's name is Pain.
So it would fit in some ways.

I just went back and looked at all the big name recruits we have, and the schools they recieved offers from are all great schools. LSU, Alabama, Florida State, Florida, Georgia, Miami, and alot of other SEC schools. Its just shows you how special of a Coach(and staff) CCS has put together. He has truely worked miracles for the program. After the Brohm and Bush era it seems we have done nothing but gone down hill. But it seems that this season is going to be filled with lots of wins, which I will be watching each one. I am making my promise now, if CCS takes Louisville to a BCS Bowl Game I will be there!!!!!!!!!!!
fixed it for you
After the Brohm and Bush era, it seems we have done nothing but gone down hill we got Kragthorped and fell off a cliff.

True the coaching staff we had before have really screwed us. Why would you only say Bush era?

without a doubt
all those 3rd and shorts we missed against Rutgers… damn
that should of been our year
and to have him break his leg on that play was just bad luck.

Brohm's senior year was Krag's first
and it was a major disappointment
Glad he's such a realist.
Let it be known: Head Coach Charlie Strong hates fiction.

I would pay good money to listen to Charlie sell someone on going to Louisville

I sent out a very similar tweet today:
Coach Strong came to see me today. Realist coach I’ve met, he rode a unicorn across a lake of fire. I’m not quite sure if it was a dream or not.
