I think the top 8 teams are probably the best 8 teams, but would include UCONN instead of Kansas.

Outside of that, you could put the next 20 in about any order you wanted and have a solid debate.

Not.

It’s the same chuckleheads that always rank Ohio State in the top ten in football based on reputation alone.

what exactly is the difference between us and UNC?

they have more “NBA” talent?

they certainly don’t have a better resume. at least not enough to justify the bracketology difference for Joe Lunardi. UNC is a 2 seed in Greensboro, we’re an 8 seed in Alburquerque

"They're UNC."

Imagine that with all the sarcasm and vitrole you possibly can.

They haven't lost to anyone "worse" than Florida St., who is 48 in the RPI.

If we hadn’t lost to ND and Providence, we’re probably top 10 the way things have shaken out. Even just beating Providence, we’d be close to top 10. Was 14th before that loss. A road win followed by thumping DePaul probably bumps us up.

Two things

They didn’t lose to ND on their home court and they didn’t follow that up with a putrid loss to Providence. Our ranking is far more in line with what it likely should be.

I have less of a beef...

with UNC being 8 right now then I did when they were top 5 with 2 losses. That was ridiculous. But Georgetown is probably better then UNC and Duke is definitely worse.

I like it.

We’re still ranked, but we all know we’re much, much better, including the team. It’ll be nice to start our climb back today.

"Captain accused of abandoning ship well before the last of the passengers"

Hmmm…reminds me of another slimy Italian….wonder if they’ll vacate his previous cruises?

So much for that

We’ll be out for sure now.
