Strong Adds Wide Receiver Transfer From Tennessee
We need to stop getting really good football news hours before tip-off, because it doesn't seem to be working out well for the basketball team.
Matt Milton, a 6-foot-5 sophomore wide receiver, confirmed on Tuesday that he would be transferring from Tennessee to Louisville. The former four-star recruit from just outside of St. Louis reportedly wanted to be closer to home because of a family illness.
Milton played in six games this season and had one catch for 12 yards. He was behind several receivers on the Volunteer depth chart, most notably stars Da'Rick Rogers and Mychal Rivera. Milton played in four games as a freshman in 2010.
Here he is as a senior in high school:
That size will be a huge asset for him at a position where U of L figures to already be fairly deep when he becomes eligible in 2013.

plus whoever Strong gets next year! talk about loaded. i would expect the coaches to try to move a few of these guys to defense. I would also expect Strong to not use too many schollys on WR or TE next year (maybe one for each?).
Going to need a haul at WR in 2014 if he only goes with 1 in 2013.
I say recruit the best ones you can find, period. James Quick…come on down!

Does anybody else see him moving to a fullback?
As pointed out we will already be stacked at the WR/TE position and will need someone to back Brown up
Maybe that transfer from Florida.
They say he could play TE, FB, LB, DE, etc.

he is looking into a waiver that would allow him to be eligible this year

Family Illness waivers are decently common.
Hopefully for us, he’ll get it granted.

Coach Strong is amazing.
Every game we get slammed in basketball here lately, he gets me to pull the revolver out of my mouth by giving us another shot of hope. I am truly honored to have this man as our coach.
Not raining on parade but heard dude can’t catch a cold, but does look good coming off the bus
