Tonight's loss to Providence was beyond ugly. It was downright embarrassing. We're going to fall out of the top 25 and struggle mightly to climb back up the Big East rankings. But my fellow Chronocloids, we will climb. We will rebound, both figuratively and literally.

We are a team that played Kentucky within 7 points at Corrupt arena. We played a very good Georgetown team to within 3. We have Rick Pitino as our coach. He will right the ship.

What happened tonight? We played a team that could do no wrong. They came out jazzed and hit 9 threes. Byrce Cotton shot 100% from beyond the arc, going 5 for 5! Everything went their way. Sometimes that happens. We have struggled on offense, tonight it was worse than usual. Why? Gorgui often starts slow before finding his shot. He got in early foul trouble, partly due to a missed travel call by the refs, and never got in his rythm. On the back of Providence shooting lights out our team got rattled. That combined with foul trouble (Gorgui and Peyton), whatever was going on with Russ, and bad luck, all conspired to make us look ridiculous tonight. Who among you does not believe this team is humiliated and is going to come firing back with a vengeance?

Were there some positives out of this night? Yes! Angel Nunez! He came off the bench to play 12 minutes and made two threes! Believe it or not, I saw some ball movement tonight that has been lacking all season as these kids fought and scrapped trying to get points. Kevin Ware got 13 minutes playing time and is looking better every game, this kid is going to be a baller!

I did not see what others on here have alleged. I did not see guys giving up. I did not see Peyton fouling out on purpose. I did not see Rick lost. I saw guys hustling and fighting and scrapping against all odds on a night that nothing was going our way. I saw Peyton doing everything he could but coming up short. I could almost see the moment Rick realized this game was out of reach. He gave some little-used players some much-needed experience and he watched his team learn a very valuable lesson that he knows will hurt like hell now, but will ultimately benefit this team in a way that no come-from-behind-victory possibly could have.

That was an ugly game to be sure. But now the fun begins. The coaching staff is angry. The fans are angry. The kids are angry. Hold on it's going to be a bumpy ride. Here come the Cards.
