I love Will Stein

Sorry, it's true.

I know the hip thing nowadays (and, well, always) is to blame everything on quarterback play, but I just don't think it's fair especially after the game he put up tonight.

He completed 30 of 43 passes for 8.1 yards per attempt and 349 yards total. There was one interception, two touchdowns, and he was sacked 6 times. Take out the sacks and those are pretty close to Brohm's numbers in 2007.

Will Stein accounted for more yardage than FIU put up total. I'd like to see the ball in his hands more, not less, especially if we can't get the run game going.

We got what, three bad breaks all game? An interception returned for a touchdown, and two breakaways by TY? They weren't marching up and down the field, they had 9 first downs. They converted 5 of 13 3rd downs.

If HCCS tightens up the team a little more, which we all know he will, I don't see a reason to think we won't return to a bowl game.

I know everyone wants to see Bridgewater play, but I'm not ready to give up on our season after one loss. Next week we're playing against UK and what is arguably the worst quarterback in college football.

I do have one question though: Why is it impossible to hear anything in PJCS? Are there no speakers other than the PA they set up by the Schnellenberger Complex?

agree

Problem wasn’t Stein – it was the line.

Yup

I thought considering Stein was running for his life most of the time he did well. In fact he runs way better than I thought he could.

I feel that Strong will roll with Stein through the KY game. If thats a loss then we will see more Bridgewater as the season is a wash. If its a win its a big moral booster and will move forward with Stein… We shall see

My thoughts exactly

I thought Stein showed a lot of toughness and composure. Lead us down the field before halftime, kept us in the game then, and at the end. He showed that he wanted to win.

If we want wins this season he has to be the man.

Blame it on Leadership

Will showed flashes of his “Will” power yesterday with the runs. But the offensive line was not simply holding up… There wasnt enough leadership to fire up the younger players on team

just beat UK

I hate UK fans. Only thing worse is an Ohio State fan. For the love of 8 pound 6 oz little baby Jesus, beat UK please. That way we can get away from their childish Loserville and little brother comments, at least for a few days. Bunch of swooshtags…

new guy

Im new to this site, and i love it…People here know what the hell they are talking about.. I have spent countless hours, days even, globs of wasted time trying convince clueless fans that this team is not as bad as it seems, our stats are good, will Stein is a baller.. ( im a Trinity graduate so im kinda soft on the dude) Defense makes adjustments and executes well, Only problem is O line, youthfulness, and Offensive play calling.. but other than that i like what i see..and im glad to be in this forum…
