Louisville football is upon us
Here's a sampling of the report from this morning's 6 a.m. practice:
The Louisville upperclassmen practiced for almost two hours working 20 periods in helmets and shorts. Most of the freshmen will practice for the first time in a closed session on Thursday evening. Senior Terence Simien worked at safety in Thursday's opening practice. There was discussion in the preseason that the 6-3, 208-pound Simien could be a linebacker for the Cardinals. Redshirt freshman wide receiver Michaelee Harris, who missed the 2010 season due to a knee injury, was healthy and made several nice catches on Thursday. Freshman cornerback Charles Gaines, one of the newcomers who did practice on Thursday morning, had an interception. Junior tight end Nate Nord missed Thursday's practice due to a shoulder injury.
I WANT TO KNOW MORE. I WANT TO KNOW EVERYTHING.
Football.

Fer cereal
I’m thinking about taking him late in my fantasy league’s draft but I’m hesitant right now since he’s coming off a knee injury. Luckily I’ve got a few more practices including fan reported from the open ones (don’t let me down guys) before we even get to the 5th or 6th round

Michaelee Harris + Devante Parker + 4 years = many, many TDs
But I wouldn’t touch a UofL receiver in a fantasy draft this year. Even if we get good OL and QB play, we’re not going to sling it 60 times per game, and there are so many options that I dont expect any one receiver to explode this year

It's a keeper league
and I already have the likes on Rueben Randle (Please let LSU figure out it’s QB situation!), Patrick Edwards from Houston, the nation’s top receiving TE in Louisiana-Lafayette’s Ladarius Green, and Florida State’s Willie Haulstead.
Harris is deep down on my list and I don’t expect to take him in the draft. I’ll keep an eye on him and if he does well, I’ll pick him up during the season.

"Junior tight end Nate Nord missed Thursday's practice due to a shoulder injury."
So we were at full strength for exactly 0 days of fall camp.

I expect someone to be hurt at all times in football, I mean there are 100 of them.
Basketball on the other hand…yeesh.

Great to hear about Harris
Can we start both QBs? And use two balls? That might be the ony way to fully utilize our WRs…
