I mean seriously, I read about it all the time. Stuff like: "There's definitely no love lost between those two," and "It's no secret Pitino and Calipari absolutely despise each other."
I don't see it. Not at all. When you see them right after a game, they are engaging in long hand shakes, sharing conversation, and all smiles. Sure, some will say they're putting on an act and being civil in public, but I call B.S. on that. Contrast Rick and Cal's post-game exchanges with Rick and Jim Calhoun and you'll clearly see two guys that don't like each other easily showing. They're quick, nonchalant, and the two barely look at each other. They almost remind me of Weber and Sampson. Meanwhile, it's easy to see Rick and Bob Huggins' fondness of one another as they converse and even embrace after the games. Rick and Calipari don't quite go that far, but there is still no indication whatsoever that there's any animosity between the two. At least not to me.
Where do these opinions come from?
