In reviewing the Rivals 2010 class, Louisville is showing making an offer to 15 different kids in the top 100 (actually all are in the top 65).They are by position:
8 Guards - Purvis, Goodwin, Ledo, Smith-Rivera, Harris, Calhoun, Reese and Adams
5 Forwards - Mohammed, Coleman, Poythress, House, and Allen
2 Centers - Drummond and Parker
With only 2 scholarships available, how does this work? If a kid calls and says he wants to be a Cardinal, do we take him conditionally until more in the field commit or once we take a kid, is that it? Seems kind of weird to me but every other big school does the same thing. Kentucky has offered nearly everyone in the top 20 it looks like.
Can someone with far more knowledge and experience in these matters than I explain? Thanks.
