Happy birthday, Darrell Griffith
The best to ever don a Louisville uniform turns 53-years-young today.
A tip of the cap to the man who delivered on a promise to bring his hometown its first national title, and who still reigns as the program's all-time leading scorer.
Happy birthday, Dr. Dunkenstein.

Darrell Griffith and Phil Mickelson have the same birthday. Awesome.

I would give my left testicle
to see Louisville win a championship. Not that anyone would want it or anything.

Invented the high-five....
thats why im a UofL fan.

My wife was the exec director of a non-profit agency dealing with preschool age children. One day a guy walked in and said to the receptionist “I hear you do good work” and handed her an envelope, turned around and walked out. It was a $1,000 check from Griff and his foundation. He didn’t even wait for a thank you. Doing good was all he had in mind.
The supreme irony was the receptionist was the aunt of Jerry Springer, Darrell’s childhood friend who was dying from cancer as UofL was making its run to the title.
Cal just tweeted
that he should have hung around for photo ops with the receptionist holding the check.
