Victor Anderson quickly became a fan favorite for many UofL fans even before he stepped foot in Papa Johns Cardinal Stadium. There is something about a home town kid that gets people excited, and Anderson certainly didn't disappoint. Vic started out his career with a great freshman season, becoming the first UofL player to be named Big East Rookie of the Year. He followed that with an injury plagued sophomore campaign, but still managed to be the teams leading rusher. Last season Bilal Powell got the bulk of the carries for the cardinals, but Anderson (plagued by injuries again) still put up solid numbers. He was the teams 3rd leading rusher, but was a difference maker on special teams ranked 7th nationally.
Although the cardinals have a very deep back field, Anderson is expected to be a major factor this season. Hopefully he is done with injuries and has a chance to show what he can do with another full season of play. With his speed and quickness, we should expect big things out of Victor Anderson this season.
